  perhaps it was "love at first sight", but then you get to know him/her more intimately and realize your goals and amitions couldn't be further apart.

  not that he/she isn't a good person ... just not right for you.

  the physical attraction is real, but issues that are important to you pale into insignificance in his/her mind.

  I would keep him as a f*** buddy if he is decent enough but nothing more than that, unless he makes a good friend in which case he could become a friend with benefits I made a promise to myself to never again get overly attached to one person but to make many friends and have some benefits with some of them. Monogamy is not natural.

  Who's celebrating Yule?

  my daughter and i went to our very first yule ritual/celebration.

  it was a beautiful ceremony with masks and costumes of the sun lord, white lady, and the raven of annwyn (sic?).

  we witches (i'm in training) sure eat a lot of food (for grounding).

  My daughter and I went to our very first Yule ritual/celebration. It was a beautiful ceremony with masks and costumes of the Sun Lord, White Lady, and the Raven of Annwyn (sic?). We witches (I'm in training) sure eat a lot of food (for grounding). Yummy After that, some of us went outside and drummed, chanted, and sang Yule and pagan songs around the Yule log. So nice to celebrate Christmas closer to how it was done a long time ago. Such beautiful metaphores for everything natural and changing. It reminded me a lot of Native American ceremonies done around a camp fire. Chenoa

  In laws again

  so the hubby tells me that the fam is having a dinner at one of the restaurants in his hometown for the inlaws because it is their anniversary.

  i hate the fact that when they call my stomach gets in knots.. they are the nicest people if it weren't for the jw thing.

  it is the only thing i dislike.

  my vote for the worst watchtower term is:.

  circumcision of the heart!.

  i can't believe that there are people who can not only say "circumcision of the heart" with a straight face in front of the congregation, but defend its 'meaning'.. other runners up in my opinion:.

  as i walked into town,so i saw a lady with a baby in a pram with an elderly lady knocking on a door,i thought jws,ater i passe ,i believethe elderly lady pulled out a piece of paper to write on it(didn't actually see her do this,but her actions suggest that what she did)

  My avatar is baby polar bear Knut in a Germany zoo. I never had an elder come by in the two years since I left. Fading has never been easier. I smoke, go to metaphysical stores, take daughter to karate, go to bars, decorate for X-mas all in public. Never been hounded. I told some sisters off earlier this year, though. They have never been back:)

  where did abel get the idea to put something on an alter and offer it to god?

  i always wondered where abel got the idea to kill a little baby animal and burn the carcas as a gift to god?

  i would have zapped abel on the spot before he could kill the poor creature in his care.

  That's good. I will view it through my pagan eyes and find the lesson in the fable. It's better to give a horrible gift to someone with a good heart than to give a wonderful gift to someone with a bad heart. No matter the gift, the motive will be clear. How's that?

  ok here's a scholarly review of this week's book study lesson in the revelation climax book.. the wild beast leaping out of the sea on page 189.. about 6 out of 10 of the heads look like they are laughing hysterically.
